About dosages
This Boron calculator for Dogs is based on a liquid form of Boron where 1 tsp is equal to approximately 3mg of Boron. It is recommended to start with the lower end of the suggested range. If the case is severe, then more may be beneficial. However, for prevention and milder cases, it is best to stay within the suggested range.
The effect will not be visible overnight as it takes time for arteritis to build up in a dog’s body and affect their mobility. It may take 1-3 months to see improvements. If there are no visible changes, then the dosage may need to be increased.
Get the diet right!
Other factors, such as diet, will also affect the outcome and results. A raw food diet is highly recommended for dogs. I see a tremendous difference in raw fed dogs compared to kibble fed when it comes to recovery from arthritis and many other health issues.
