“Started raw over a year ago after she started having seizures, grand mals. Since the change (raw fed, CBD oil and turmeric golden paste) she has been seizure free, is on no medication or any other remedies to prevent them.

Few things are more disturbing than watching your dog having a seizure. I have seen seizures end and never return by switching to a raw food many times. What seems to stop it is the reduced intake of carbohydrates. Kibble is loaded with sugar and carbs. A raw food diet low in calories from carbs replaced with calories from fat seems to me to work the best. A low-carb/low-fat diet does not work as well from my experience. The reason for that is most likely that protein is turning to glycogen which will feed the cells involved with the seizures. This is my theory since no research has been done into seizures and raw feeding.” We know that a ketogenic diet can help children with seizures.
I’m not saying you should stop any medication if you have a dog or cat with seizures. I’m just sharing stories and encourage everyone to do their own research. There is definitely something going on here that does reduce the seizures since I have seen the same results many times. If I had a dog with seizures I would put my dog on a raw food diet if it was not on it already. I have not seen a raw fed dog with seizures yet. I see this in kibble fed dogs that also have been vaccinated according to what is recommended by the allopathic vets. There seems to be a correlation here, but I can’t prove that. I just see similar cases.
